Wielder of words, purveyor of puns, ally of alliteration, majesty of metaphors, and graduate of grammar, Stephanie is enthralled by language – the sounds, letters, handwriting, words, semantics – and how language shapes the way people view the world. Her fascination was probably shaped by the whimsical nature of children’s novels and poetry – particularly The Phantom Tollbooth, Roald Dahl, and Shel Silverstein.
With a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics from the University of Florida, not only has this Miami native gained a deeper understanding of the fluid nature of language, she now officially has the authority to correct everyone’s grammar, including her own (that’s dedication), whether it’s in content she’s proofing for the SEO team at Tandem Interactive as the Copy Editor, texts and emails, or even in the middle of a conversation – she’s THAT annoying grammar girl.
When she’s not viciously attacking grammar mistakes, thoroughly amused by the creative ways the content writers inject their pieces with panache, and making sure the content flows naturally, Stephanie’s probably lost in another world within the pages of a book, dancing in the kitchen as she contemplates whether her latest baking venture will be a success or #fail, or trying to memorize (ahem, belt out, terribly) the lyrics to the entire Hamilton cast album in the car.
Proud Ravenclaw, curious about details, mind blown by big picture concepts, and intrigued by all that is odd, Stephanie is ultimately a lover of learning, asking questions, and the number 3, a perfectly prime number.
